I have decided to try and start a new video series to teach digital electronics. So come learn digital electronics with me through computer games and hands on examples! We will be using the game Turing Complete to learn the basics of digital electronics. We will then use the simulation program called CRUMB to simulate the same digital circuit on a breadboard. Finally, we will put the circuit onto a real breadboard.
Digital electronics forms the foundation of computers, and is a great place to start learning programming concepts. It is where I started early in high school, and has helped me throughout my programming career to understand how the computer works deep down inside.
Turing Complete can be purchased from GOG or Steam.
CRUMB can be purchased from Steam or a mobile app store
Always try and solve the Turning Complete levels yourself first, but initially you will want to just follow along with CRUMB and the real breadboard work. After the first couple levels, go ahead and try to solve all three steps yourself.
